Two Projects Selected in 2017 Science Highlight for the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility


In the past two years, I lead two INCITE projects to use the Mira supercomputer supported by DOE in ALCF to carry out radiation MHD simulations of black hole accretion disks and massive stars. For each project, we get 50-60M cpu hours each year in Mira. Scientific details of each projects are described in other research blogs. Both of these projects are selected as science highlight in the 2017 ALCF science report and the project of massive stars is shown as the cover in the report. The full report is here:
